Packing for a Namibian safari: the essentials
By DGO Voyage
Packing well makes a real difference on safari. Here are the essentials we recommend to every traveller.
Clothing: think layers in neutral colours, mornings are cold, midday is hot. A warm fleece, a windproof layer, and a wide-brimmed hat are non-negotiable.
Optics: a decent pair of binoculars will transform your wildlife viewing. Bring more camera storage than you think you need.
Sun and skin: high-factor sunscreen, lip balm and a refillable water bottle. The desert is dry and the sun is fierce.
Extras: a headtorch for camps, a power bank, and any personal medication. We send every traveller a tailored packing list with their final documents.
